About the role
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day operations related to human resources, including employee relations, recruiting & on-boarding, benefit & leave administration, and payroll.
Responsibilities
- Counsel and coach employees and management on employee relation matters and policy application.
- Administer company policies, programs, and benefits and act as a liaison with corporate to facilitate change management.
- Conduct training as necessary and maintain proper employee files.
- Coordinate and facilitate benefit meetings during open enrollment.
- Process new hire and termination paperwork and ensure employee data is current and accurate within the system of record (e.g. UltiPro).
- Maintain and develop policies and procedures.
- Perform recruiting duties for non-exempt positions, including creating job advertisements, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Complete on-boarding functions for new employees, including system on-boarding (UltiPro), new employee orientation, and necessary coordination of training.
- Support other company programs and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources with progressive duties around employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, and/or training required.
- Prior experience in warehousing, third-party logistics, or distribution centers preferred.
- Experience in a leadership role and/or managing others desired.
