About the role
We partner with HR Business Partners to meet the needs of departments within the business unit. We support internal and external recruitment efforts for the property by coordinating with the Talent Acquisition team. We conduct investigations, provide performance management guidance, and assist with training programs. We maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Supports internal and external recruitment efforts
- Conducts investigations and provides performance management guidance
- Facilitates training programs
- Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensures confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
- Supports property management and employees in improving work relationships, building morale, increasing productivity, and retention
- Assists with unemployment compensation claims
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Attends training and meetings as required
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets HR data to suggest strategies
- Assists with engagement, wellness, and retention events
- Supports superior customer service
- Works independently and collaboratively
- Communicates effectively and negotiates
- Manages day-to-day performance management
- Handles grievance and harassment concerns
- Facilitates exit interviews and reports patterns to management
- Supports property management and employees in improving work relationships, building morale, increasing productivity, and retention
- Assists with training programs
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintains confidentiality in all departmental and company matters

Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field
- Minimum of two years HR or supervisory experience
- PHR certification preferred
- Previous experience working with a labor environment with union contracts preferred
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office software
- Ability to work with various levels of the organization
- Highly effective communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills, presentation skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results
- Demonstrated knowledge of state, local, and federal labor laws and regulations related to HR
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of two years HR or supervisory experience preferred
- PHR certification preferred
- Previous experience working with a labor environment with union contracts preferred
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office software; iCIMS and Ultipro experience a plus
- Ability to work with various levels of the organization to develop and influence the culture
- Highly effective communication and negotiation skills

Pay
$50,000 starting salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Shifts may vary, including holidays, nights, and weekends as business needs dictate.
