About the role
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the operational aspect of the Human Resources function, ensuring efficient, compliant, and scalable delivery of HR services across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage HR Operations, including payroll, HRIS, compliance, and employee data analytics.
- Manage time and attendance (e.g. tracking timesheets, PTO/absence and manager approvals).
- Manage payroll processing and operational controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage HRIS functionality, data integrity, reporting, and system optimization.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies; maintain accurate records.
- Manage recruitment process, since requisition inception to posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding transition.
- Lead HR audits and regulatory reporting (e.g., ACA, Non-Discrimination Testing, internal/external audits).
- Maintain and drive performance management process.
- Partner with managers on performance management and employee development.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for assigned HR functions, providing guidance to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and HR programs.
- Coordinate and track training programs, ensuring completion, documentation, and compliance.
- Support in the development and implementation of any HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Deliver HR reporting, metrics, and documentation to support audits, leadership, and decision-making.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally to align HR operations with business needs and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Master’s in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred; advanced certifications (SHRM-SCP/SPHR) are a plus.
- +10 years of progressive HR experience, with strong emphasis in HR Operations.
- Experience in banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage processes, audits, and operational controls.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
