HR Generalist

Join a growing team where people matter. HeartLand LLC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to serve as a trusted partner to our leaders and employees.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top talent across the organization.
• Serve as the local HR resource, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws while maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Support payroll, benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS processes with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate recruiting activities including sourcing, interviews, background checks, offers, and onboarding.
• Assist with safety initiatives, workers' compensation administration, and the H-2B Guest Worker Program.
• Help foster a positive, engaged workplace culture that supports both employees and business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and recruiting.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (ADP or similar) and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• PHR certification and H-2B Guest Worker Program experience are a plus.
