Responsibilities
- Retail Division Support
- On-site general human resources support to retail employees and managers
- Maintain regular coordination between retail and People Services operations
- Engage with retail store leadership to anticipate and discuss organizational changes and needs
- Conduct applicable training sessions for retail leadership and staff
- People Services Department Support
- Confer with People Services leadership to implement personnel policies and procedures
- Aid in broad array of HR tasks
- Assist with hiring events, onboarding support, unemployment claims, administrative tasks, open enrollment, coordinating with COEs, and other HR-related functions
- Staffing Support
- Assist Talent Acquisition department with hiring initiatives
- Identify and report staffing risks and turnover trends
- Coordinate and engage Employee Well-Being, EAP, and other benefit programs
- Employee Relations
- Provide HR support, consultation, and mediation for basic site-level disputes or disruptions
- Coordinate with retail store leadership to review and approve disciplinary actions
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Maintain an updated knowledge of applicable employment laws
- Affirmative action guidelines and laws
- Assist on-site managers with incident reporting
- Lead and support Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing process
- Policies and Standards
- Maintain a current and up-to-date understanding of and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Support and/or participate in professional development
- Report potential hazards, wear personal protective equipment as required, and report injuries or incidents
- Accounting and financial records keeping
- Education and Years of Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years of relevant experience.
- OR Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field AND 3+ years of relevant experience.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field AND 1+ year of relevant experience.
- Required Attention to detail, proven knowledge of HR practices and operations, ability to properly use basic systems, ability to work with diverse populations, strong oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred Professional HR certification (SHRM, HRCI), multi-site support experience, non-profit experience, retail leadership experience.
- Required Clearances, Licenses, and Certifications: Valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and reliable transportation for local travel. Complete background checks assigned by Goodwill SWPA, including a National Criminal Background check, prior to employment. Provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to employment.
