- Ensure multi-state regulatory compliance, including maintaining accurate employment records, updates to handbooks, and mandatory training.
- Partner with finance and legal teams to manage workers' compensation, equity administration details, and state-specific tax registrations.
- Analyze people metrics, such as retention rates and employee Net Promoter Scores (eNPS), to propose data-driven HR initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
- 4-7 years of HR generalist or people operations experience, preferably within a fast-growing technology company or remote environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple US states (specifically Washington and California).
- Hands-on administrative proficiency with modern HRIS, payroll, and performance management tools (such as Rippling, BambooHR, and Lattice).
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with high discretion and emotional intelligence.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Bonus: Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) and experience managing immigration/visa processes.
