JOB SUMMARY
Aid the Director of HR and Organizational Development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A working knowledge of business or human resources.
- A four-year degree in business administration or human resource management.
- Completion of two to four years in a human resources role.
- Knowledge of office procedures and word processing software.
- Experience in safety work is helpful.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Safety work experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the HR function by providing administrative and technical support.
- Aid the HR staff with daily administration of corporate, legal, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assist with onboarding process including orientation and training of new employees.
- Process forms, answer basic policy and benefit questions, and ensure programs and processes are up-to-date and compliant.
- Assist with or complete safety training of new hires.
- Assist with or complete employment verifications, MVRs, and other requests requiring employment verification.
- Assist in the development, administration, communication, and interpretation of policies.
- Support benefit administration by assisting with HCR testing, distribution of SPDs and SMMs, and open enrollment activities.
- Assist with the FMLA process including providing appropriate request forms, tracking and administration.
- Maintain HR documentation in HRIS system including processing and scanning pertinent documents.
- Assist with recruitment process including attending job fairs, posting jobs internally and externally, applicant tracking, and following process through closeout of requisition.
- Track and follow-up on company required trainings.
- Assist with compiling federal reports including Affirmative Action Plan, EEO-1, EEO Surveys, VETs 100, along with other compliance or requests for employment information.
- Assist with updating job descriptions.
- Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
