About the Role
Our client is seeking an HR Generalist for their Conyers, GA office. The HR Generalist will support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance. This role requires someone who is organized, approachable, and able to balance day-to-day HR responsibilities while supporting managers and employees throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, open enrollment, and employee questions
- Manage the recruiting process
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Assist managers with employee relations matters and performance documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support leave administration, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training, and retention efforts
- Participate in HR process improvements and special projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits
- Experience managing the recruiting process
- Working knowledge of employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and other federal and state regulations
- Experience using HRIS and payroll systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Work Environment
- Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
- 25% travel
- Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship
Pay
$75,000 - 95,000 annual salary plus benefits
