HR Generalist

About the role

In this role, no two days will look the same—one moment you may be supporting a leader through a difficult conversation with an employee, the next you could be walking the floor, connecting with employees, helping coordinate onboarding, assisting with a leave of absence, supporting recruiting efforts, or partnering with operations leaders to improve team engagement and retention. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys handling issues at the lowest possible level through communication, trust, accountability, and partnership.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing employee advocacy with business partnership and wants to make a visible impact on culture, leadership development, and operational success.

Responsibilities

• Walk the production floor and connect with employees and leaders to build trust and maintain strong relationships.
• Coach managers through employee relations concerns, performance conversations, and leadership challenges.
• Support recruiting efforts by screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and helping create a positive candidate experience.
• Partner with employees and leaders on leave administration, accommodations, and workplace concerns while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Assist with policy questions, employee concerns, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Lead onboarding efforts to ensure new employees feel welcomed, connected, and set up for success from day one.
• Conduct workplace investigations with professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality.
• Support employee engagement activities, recognition efforts, celebrations, and culture-building initiatives.
• Partner with leadership to improve retention, accountability, communication, and overall team effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, payroll coordination, and HRIS data management.
• Jump in where needed to support the business, employees, and team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
• Strong employee relations and conflict resolution experience with the ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations.
• Approachable, visible, and comfortable working directly with employees and operations leaders.
• Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and follows through.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
• Approximately 10% travel required.
• Must have a current driver’s license and a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
• This is an in-office position.
