Responsibilities
- Onboarding & Hiring
- Manages processes connected with the recruiting, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
- Conduct background checks and report results to department leadership.
- Prepare and send offer letters in coordination with department managers.
- Complete required documentation and set up new hire profiles through ADP, CDK, KPA, Employee Navigator, etc.
- Benefits Administration
- Administers the benefits program ensuring timely enrollment of employees to health benefits and 401K.
- Explains and answers employee questions regarding benefit coverage, deductibles, coinsurance, etc.
- Ensures that all activities relating to the benefits programs are communicated throughout the company via newsletters, email correspondence, and/or memos and facilitates orientation sessions for employees.
- Assists in processing of leave benefits including FMLA, STD, LTD.
- Processes and monitors Worker’s Compensation and unemployment claims and coordinates services with third party administrators.
- HR & Compliance Support
- Maintains current employee files and audits regularly for compliance.
- Tracks and ensures mandatory requirements such as licenses and training are timely completed.
- Accurately and timely enters new employee data and employee status changes into the HR and timekeeping systems.
- Provides coaching and consultation to managers, supervisors, and other employees to help prevent and solve problems related to human resources.
- Acts as a liaison between the HR Department and Payroll Department regarding payroll deductions, timesheets, and various payroll reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related field required OR High School diploma plus related comparable experience.
- Three or more years’ experience in a progressively responsible HR role required.
- Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws.

- Ability to partner in a team environment with operators to support the business and collaborate on common initiatives.
- Ability to take ownership and work independently of all aspects of HR functions.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
