HR Generalist

About the role

Responsibilities

• Recruit across field, shop, administrative, supervisory, management, fleet, safety, and operations roles.
• Source candidates via job boards, social media, referrals, trade schools, workforce programs, industry networks, and direct outreach.
• Manage full hiring cycle: postings, screening, interviews, pre-employment checks, offers, and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers on staffing needs, seasonal demand, position requirements, and long-term workforce planning.
• Maintain HR records: applicant tracking, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
• Support compliance with EEO, wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, I-9, DOT, and other labor regulations.
• Assist HR Director with employee relations, policy updates, benefits, payroll changes, offboarding, audits, and special projects.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 4–7 years of HR experience with a proven track record in recruiting and hiring.
• Recruiting experience in blue-collar, construction, transportation, fleet, or similar labor-based environments preferred.
• Experience hiring for entry-level, skilled trade, administrative, supervisory, and management positions.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, employee documentation, and general HR administration.
