HR Generalist

This role supports designated geographic regions and performs professional-level HR duties in employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administers human resource plans and procedures for all personnel; assists in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures; supports preparation and maintenance of the employee handbook.
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
• Supports administration for tracking and processing employee changes and the compensation program; monitors and revises the performance management program as necessary.
• Supports new-employee orientations and onboarding; monitors career-pathing program.
• Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
• Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
• Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals; recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered (e.g., master’s degree in HR with 2 years of experience, or 7 years of HR experience).
• 5+ years of HR experience preferred.
• Expertise in HR policies and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of the hiring process.
• Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with high professionalism and discretion.
• Familiarity with MS Office suite.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% locally and 25% regionally.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
