The Role
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR leadership while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas with a main focus on talent acquisition, employee relations/investigations, employee engagement, and employment law compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supports the internal and external recruitment efforts for the property, developing sourcing strategies and community partnerships to garner top talent
- Coordinates and conducts new hire onboarding initiatives, to include new hire orientation
- Affords assistance in conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Affords assistance in providing performance management guidance to property leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Analyzes onboarding and exit surveys, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in processes
- Affords assistance in design and execution of engagement, wellness and retention events, to include back of house branding initiatives
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR or other relevant degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of three years HR experience preferred
- PHR, SPHR certification preferred
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office software
- Ability to work with various levels of the organization to develop and influence the culture
- Highly effective communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills, presentation skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results
- Demonstrated knowledge of state, local and federal labor laws and regulations related to HR
Pay
$27 per hour
