HR Generalist
Summary
The HR Generalist is a versatile professional responsible for performing a broad range of HR functions within the organization. This role requires an individual who can wear multiple hats, acting as a coach, consultant, and administrator to support various HR initiatives and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes. The Generalist fosters a positive, inclusive workplace.
What you'll be contributing
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, effectively communicating HR policies and fostering a culture of inclusivity and trust.
- Address and resolve employee concerns with professionalism and confidentiality, including conflict resolution, employee investigations, and compliance issues.
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and recommend actionable improvements for employee retention.
- Assist and collaborate with Talent Acquisition colleagues in the recruitment process, including serving as representative at recruitment events, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding and orientation of new employees.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs that enhance employee capabilities and performance.
- Support managers in implementing performance development plans, aligning individual growth with organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws, aligning local practices to reflect organizational changes and legal requirements.
- Assist employees and their managers through the Leave administration and application process, ensuring appropriate documentation and tracking is maintained and policy is observed
- Facilitate performance review processes, guiding managers and employees in setting goals and evaluating performance.
- Aid in the local administration of payroll, compensation and benefits programs
- Address employee inquiries related to benefits, promoting understanding and engagement with available resources.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, generating reports and analyzing data to support decision-making.
- Proficiency in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making is advantageous.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position, you will need
- 4 year/Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or related field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of years and education accepted.
- SHRM-C, SHRM-SCP, or PHR is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Demonstrated grasp and application of human resources principles, best practices and methods
