Join our dynamic team as an HR Generalist on a 3-month fixed-term contract. You'll play a key role in building our foundation, working with cutting-edge technologies, and collaborating with leadership. This hands-on role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and streamline the end-to-end employee onboarding process, from pre-boarding logistics to leading new hire orientation.
- Maintain complete accuracy of employee records, handling all daily HR data entry across our systems.
- Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities to track headcount, generate HR metrics, and support reporting for leadership.
- Ensure benefit enrollments are completed and reflected in appropriate systems.
- Support the processing of payroll through timesheet and data entry validation in payroll system.
- Support the life cycle of talent acquisition, including scheduling.
- Facilitate structured offboarding process and ensure seamless document completion.
- Process the leave administration, ensuring full compliance with California labor laws and maintaining accurate leave documentation.
- Work with the HR Manager to address employee relations inquiries and support training programs.
- Assist in compensation reviews, job evaluations, and ongoing company policy updates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
This position requires access to export-controlled information. Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3).
- Minimum of 3 years of related HR experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Hands-on experience with HR platforms (e.g., ADP, Workable) and high proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and auditing.
- Working knowledge of California employment regulations, multi-state compliance, and state-mandated leave programs.
- High ownership mindset, exceptional discretion with confidential data, and strong communication skills.
Benefits
The expected annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000.
