Job Summary
This is a full-time position onsite in Cedar Hill, Texas. Occasional travel to other locations will occur. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
About the role
As a Generalist, you’ll be a key part of our Shared Services team, supporting a variety of HR and operational functions across the company. Your role will require a mix of responsibilities, flexibility, and attention to detail. The ability to maintain high levels of communication, confidentiality, and professionalism will be essential in your day-to-day interactions with employees and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth transitions for employees across various stages of their journey with the company, including documenting and processing changes related to employment status, maintaining electronic employee files, etc.
- Responsible for the full recruiting process from posting to pre-employment screenings.
- Aid in employee onboarding by scheduling start dates, facilitating orientation, and assisting with offboarding by scheduling and conducting exit interviews, processing paperwork, etc.
- Support employee inquiries, coordinate various HR processes, and ensure all employees are supported and informed throughout their time with us.
- Support other HR-related functions as needed.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field is preferred.
- Two to five years of equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using HRIS systems (ADP preferred), ATS, project management software like Monday.com, Smartsheets or Asana.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
- Maintain confidentiality and have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Skills
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using HRIS systems (ADP preferred), ATS, project management software like Monday.com, Smartsheets or Asana.
