Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment activities including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
- Support new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation processes.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Process employment-related paperwork, including status changes, terminations, and benefits enrollments.
- Cook up attendance tracking, timekeeping, and employee data management.
- Cook up employee training programs and maintain training records.
- Respond to routine employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
- Aid in employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain departmental records and metrics.
- Maintain EHS records, training documentation, safety inspection reports, and regulatory compliance files.
- Aid in workplace safety inspections and audits throughout the facility.
- Support incident, injury, and near-miss reporting processes.
- Aid in investigating workplace incidents and documenting corrective actions.
- Aid in tracking corrective actions resulting from audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Cook up required safety training programs.
- Aid in PPE distribution and inventory.
- Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including evacuation drills and safety meetings.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hazardous chemical documentation.
- Maintain bulletin boards, signage, and communication materials.
- Aid in ensuring HR and EHS documentation is complete, organized, and audit ready at all times.
- Aid in OSHA, environmental, and compliance reporting requirements.
- Aid in maintaining confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Aid in policy updates, procedure maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, data entry, scheduling, and report preparation.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety or a related field required.
- 1 – 3 years of HR or Safety administrative support experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paycor preferred) and EHS software.
- Experience in a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment is a plus.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs.
- Familiarity with ISO, IATF, VDA or other automotive quality systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
