Assistant Manager, OR

About the role

As an Assistant Manager (RN) at UP Health System - Marquette, you will supervise and coordinate afternoon OR staff, communicate with the PAR and PACU nursing staff, and provide patient care as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate afternoon OR staff.
• Coordinate changes to the OR schedule with the anesthesia team and surgeons.
• Communicate with the PAR and PACU nursing staff to facilitate improved throughput of patients.
• Complete patient and family rounding and service recovery as needed.
• Make adjustments to staffing as needed to account for add-on or cancelled cases.
• Provide patient care as needed to facilitate surgical needs of patients.

Requirements

• A state of Michigan RN license.
• An associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
• 2 years perioperative experience (preferred).
• 3 years leadership experience (preferred).
• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification (preferred).

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

This position offers 8-hour afternoon shifts.
