HR Coordinator (Volunteer/Remote)

This is an unpaid volunteer position.
About the role
The Human Resource Coordinator supports HR processes across all business locations, promotes positive employee relations, and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. This role also provides administrative support, including recordkeeping, file maintenance, and data entry.
Responsibilities
- Responds to volunteer questions and supports volunteer relations activities
- Assists with onboarding new volunteers
- Supports the processing of resignations and terminations
- Assists with preparing and conducting performance reviews
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Manager
- Maintains and files volunteer records and documentation
- Prepares correspondence and new volunteer files as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Available to perform duties during EST business hours
- Commitment to volunteer 8-10 hours per week
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills
- Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience, preferred
- This role is best suited for individuals seeking a longer-term volunteer opportunity (12+ months preferred)
