About The Role

The HR Operations and Compliance Coordinator is a vital administrative role within the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support to ensure the smooth functioning of HR processes, maintaining accurate employee data, and supporting compliance initiatives. The coordinator will work closely with HR team members and internal stakeholders to manage HR systems, prepare reports, and support various HR programs and projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR Operations, HR coordination, reporting, compliance, or administrative support
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now (desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (spreadsheets, sorting, filtering, formulas)
  • Strong analytical skills to review data, identify trends, and discrepancies
  • Familiarity with AI-supported tools for communication, research, reporting, or process improvement
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and quickly adapt to new systems and processes
  • A curious, coachable mindset with a genuine interest in career growth within HR

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee information, HR records, trackers, and department files accurately
  • Ensure HR data within the HR information system is current and complete
  • Aid in preparing recurring HR reports related to headcount, turnover, onboarding, and compliance metrics
  • Review employee records and reports for accuracy, communicating discrepancies to relevant team members
  • Support the offboarding process, ensuring smooth exit procedures
  • Aid in government reporting and compliance-related activities to meet regulatory requirements
  • Maintain HR calendars, compliance trackers, dashboards, spreadsheets, and project management tools
  • Respond to routine HR inquiries and direct employees or managers to appropriate HR personnel
  • Support departmental projects and initiatives across various HR functions
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the HR leadership
