About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team remotely, supporting our leave and accommodation programs across multiple states. The ideal candidate will have experience managing federal, state, and local leave entitlements such as FMLA and ADA, and will serve as a vital point of contact for employees and leadership. This role involves providing administrative support to the HR department, managing communication channels, and assisting with reports, documents, and presentations. You will work closely with the Leaves and Accommodations HR Business Partner (HRBP), reporting directly to them, and play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations. This position offers an opportunity for individuals passionate about employee relations, HR administration, and compliance to contribute to a dynamic organization while working remotely, preferably during East Coast hours.
Responsibilities
- Support all responsibilities related to Leaves and Accommodations, including daily maintenance of the LOA system and coordination with leadership and HR teams.
- Manage the HR and Leaves inbox, responding to employee inquiries professionally and routing messages appropriately.
- Provide administrative support to the Vice President of HR, including scheduling, correspondence, and documentation.
- Assist in preparing HR-related reports, documents, and presentations to support department initiatives.
- Help plan and execute team events, training sessions, and other HR programs.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and company policies in all HR activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in Leaves administration, with a strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local leave laws.
- 2-3 years supporting an HR Manager or senior HR professional within an HR department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) and HRIS systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in handling HR matters.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law; HR Certification is a plus.
- Proactive work ethic with a strong sense of accountability.
- Availability to work during East Coast hours and reside in the southeastern United States is preferred.
