HR Coordinator II
About the Role
This position is responsible for maintaining a pool of eligible caregivers to meet the agency’s growing client census and service hours through continual recruiting, hiring, and orienting of qualified caregivers. Additionally, the HR Coordinator II performs various human resource functions for agency caregivers, including employee relations, retention, personnel file management, monitoring of certifications and training, conducting performance evaluations, disciplinary meetings, and documenting employment-related events.
Responsibilities
- Continually recruit caregivers to maintain a pool of eligible and available candidates through:
- Creating and posting online job ads
- Sourcing potential applicants on resume databases and social media sites
- Attending and/or hosting job fairs
- Partnering with local nursing assistant programs
- Promoting the agency’s employee referral program to current caregivers
- Process applications and employment inquiries
- Conduct pre-screens and in-person interviews with potential candidates; provide hiring recommendations
- Schedule qualified candidates for orientation, subject to positive reference verification
- Provide new hire packets and validate references
- Deliver comprehensive orientation for newly hired caregivers, covering agency history, mission, expectations, procedures, and brand consistency
- Collect and verify new hire paperwork, identification, licensure, certifications, and completed trainings
- Create personnel files and ensure accurate data entry into the agency’s CRM system
- Assign training courses and monitor completion by required deadlines
- Ensure background checks and motor vehicle records (if applicable) are processed prior to client placement
- Monitor upcoming document expirations and required continuing education or performance evaluations
- Conduct caregiver “Stay Interviews,” performance evaluations, disciplinary meetings, and employee terminations
- Prepare and file reports for caregiver accidents and injuries
- Audit and maintain caregiver personnel files in compliance with regulatory requirements and agency policy
- Provide flexible operational support, including assisting with scheduling, client coordination, and filling in for caregiver shifts as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of related experience; knowledge of HR, scheduling, and/or healthcare preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional telephone etiquette, and strong customer service orientation
- Exceptional organizational skills, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously
- Comfortable utilizing various technologies and computer programs
- Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solve, and apply sound judgment under pressure
- Professional business image and ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds
- Must pass a criminal background check
Physical and Environmental Demands
This is a primarily sedentary position.
Schedule
Part-time, 30 hours per week.
Pay
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour.
