Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork and orientation.
- Act as a point of contact for employees' inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures, including payroll and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both electronically and in physical files.
- Generate reports and compile HR data as needed for compliance and decision-making.
- Affirm compliance with federal and state labor laws.
- Ensure I9 compliance with E-Verify.
- Collaborate on various HR projects, such as change management, process improvement, and HR audits.
- Manage the weekly payroll process with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling interviews, meetings, and handling phone calls.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of HR or related experience, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software (e.g., SAP, Kronos, Great Plains (GP), iCIMS, HRIS).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
