Responsibilities
- Aid in recruiting efforts through job postings, resume screening, and interviews.
- Conduct new employee orientations and oversee the onboarding process.
- Communicate compensation structures and benefits programs to employees.
- Manage employee records and report required data accurately and promptly.
- Promote and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Address workplace safety concerns and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Provide support for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Resolve employee issues and conflicts, and assist in enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Administer payroll and benefits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence.
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
- Collaborate with benefits providers and coordinate open enrollment periods.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including timekeeping and attendance.
- Participate in HR audits and reporting as needed.
- Support ongoing training and development initiatives for staff.
- Track and manage training records and certifications.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
- Maintain HR databases and prepare reports on HR metrics.
- Collaborate with management to support facility goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Previous experience in an HR role, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software systems.
