About the role

Provide human resources (HR) administrative support at the site, including employment, pre-employment processes, applicant tracking, workers' compensation reporting, new hire orientation, personnel change notifications, and payroll. Support the Company’s quality management programs by delivering effective customer service to both internal and external customers. Serve as administrator for employee relations, the safety program (depending upon site), and general HR administrative support. Update and maintain employee information within the HRIS. Function as a team member within the department and organization, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including preparing position requisitions, coordinating employment advertising, and conducting employment background checks.
  • Maintain applicant flow data for Affirmative Action (AA) / Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) purposes.
  • Conduct new hire orientations to ensure all required forms (e.g., W-4, state tax forms, IRCA I-9 forms) are completed and forwarded or filed as needed.
  • Assist employees with preparation and submission of all personnel-related forms on an as-needed basis.
  • Maintain all personnel records and ensure original records are forwarded or filed as required.
  • Verify payroll information and communicate changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of employees’ time, including sick/vacation days and personal holidays.
  • Submit all personnel changes using personnel action forms, including notifications regarding changes in pay rates, job titles, account codes/locations, payment of bonuses/incentives, and tracking of employees on leaves of absence.
  • Assist with the administration of workers' compensation functions, including preparation of injury reports, OSHA/regulatory logs, and maintaining records on lost time and modified duty time for injured employees.
  • Assist with safety functions, such as coordinating drug testing, working with clinics, attending safety calls, and preparing monthly safety materials.
  • Support administration of programs such as tuition assistance and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Assist with employee relations projects, including company social events and charitable campaigns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to perform public speaking.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
