About the Role
The HR Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Human Resources function, assisting with a variety of HR activities including onboarding/offboarding, HR administration, and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding activities including paperwork, HRIS data entry and coordination with other departments.
- Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Work with payroll, IT and hiring managers to ensure new hire has IT, email, timesheet and other important items on first day of hire.
- Process all new hire compliance related activities, such as E-Verify, I-9, Background investigations, drug testing and more.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data.
- Prepare HR-related documents, such as employment verification letters, status change forms, and termination paperwork.
- Primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Process and track HR related items such as Tuition Reimbursements, Employee Referral Bonuses, transfers and promotions.
- Support HR audits and compliance initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources or related administrative roles.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material/information as a requirement of this position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Skills
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
