HR Coordinator
This role focuses on managing leave of absence and FMLA processes while supporting broader human resources functions in an on-site, hybrid, or potentially remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leaders regarding leave of absence and FMLA inquiries.
- Review, process, and track leave requests from initial intake through return-to-work, maintaining accurate documentation and timelines.
- Update and maintain employee records in the HRIS system (including UKG) to reflect leave status, return dates, and related changes.
- Collaborate with human resources colleagues to support employee relations matters related to leave of absence and attendance.
- Communicate clearly with employees in both English and Spanish to explain leave policies, eligibility, and required documentation.
- Use Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to track, analyze, and report on leave metrics and HR data.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of employee information within HRIS and all HR records.
- Support general human resources activities as needed, contributing to a positive and responsive HR service experience.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously improve leave processes and enhance employee understanding of HR programs.
Requirements
- Approximately 5 years of experience managing leave of absence programs, including FMLA.
- Hands-on experience using HRIS systems, including UKG or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in human resources and employee relations.
- Proficiency in Excel for tracking, reporting, and analyzing HR and leave data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly in both languages.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.

Work Environment
This is a contract role of approximately 3–4 months with the possibility of extension, offering a hybrid work arrangement with on-site presence and potential for remote or fully hybrid flexibility. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role operates in a professional office environment using HRIS systems such as UKG, along with Microsoft Office and Excel, to support daily HR operations and leave administration.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
