HR Consultant II
About the role
The HR Consultant II provides Human Resources operational and talent acquisition support through ownership of assigned recruiting activities, employee lifecycle processes, and departmental initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership, this role combines hands-on execution with process improvement, continuous learning, and operational excellence while delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
As a HR Consultant II, you will:
- Participate in all phases of the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned corporate and Family Services positions, independently managing designated recruiting activities based on the position and business needs.
- Partner with the Sr. Director and HR Manager to support sourcing strategies, identify creative talent pipelines, and build diverse candidate pools for current and future hiring needs.
- Conduct candidate prescreen interviews, evaluate qualifications and organizational fit, and recommend candidates for advancement.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to execute recruiting strategies and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
- Monitor recruiting metrics, maintain applicant tracking system data, and recommend improvements to recruiting processes and candidate engagement.
- Apply established HR processes with sound judgment and operational agility, adapting approaches as appropriate to meet business needs while maintaining compliance, consistency, and a high-quality employee experience.
- Progressively assume ownership of assigned HR operational processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, compliance, and timely execution while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Administer employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, employee documentation, and HR data management.
- Review, prepare, and maintain HR documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, established practices, and documentation standards.
- Partner with the Sr. Director and HR Manager to execute HR initiatives supporting Family Services and related shared services activities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, communications, and other materials that support leadership decision-making and departmental initiatives.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field from a four-year college or university.
- 3-5 years Human Resources experience with an emphasis in compliance programs and/or associate relations strongly or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional judgment and the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling highly sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Song analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, HRIS platforms, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
Skills
Preferred skills include:
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI within 1 Year.
- Experience sourcing candidates, conducting candidate assessments, and managing recruiting activities.
