HR Associate Generalist
About the role
Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is seeking an HR Associate Generalist to support the Human Resources department with a focus on compliance management, affirmative action initiatives, training coordination, and general HR Administration.
Responsibilities
- Maintain HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and industry requirements.
- Support compliance tracking for employee records, onboarding documents, policy acknowledgments, training records, certifications, and required employment documentation.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and document preparation related to HR, equal employment opportunity, and workforce requirements.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure sensitive employee information is handled with confidentiality and care.
- Affirmative Action Plan Support: Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of affirmative action plans, ensuring equal employment opportunity practices are upheld.
- Report Preparation: Assist in preparing reports, summaries, and documentation for internal review, compliance audits, and external partners.
- Training Coordination: Coordinate employee training programs, including scheduling sessions, communicating training requirements, tracking attendance, and maintaining accurate training records.
- Training Support: Partner with managers, HR leadership, and subject matter experts to identify training needs, support training materials, and monitor completion of required courses.
- Evaluation: Assist with evaluating training effectiveness by collecting feedback, reviewing participation data, and recommending improvements to enhance employee learning and compliance.
- Employee Inquiries: Respond to employee inquiries regarding compliance, and in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of HR experience, with exposure to compliance, training coordination, and employee support processes.
- Knowledge of employment laws and affirmative action requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience coordinating employee training, maintaining training records, and using learning management systems or similar tracking tools preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
