Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced HR Assistant for one of their valued clients in California. This role is designed to support the HR department with essential administrative functions and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes.
Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to the HR team by assisting with daily HR activities and functions.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases.
- Cooking and scheduling interviews and meetings as required.
- Aiding in the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of new hire packets and conducting orientations.
- Supporting benefits administration and answering employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Aiding in the preparation of HR reports and documents as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS ADP, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Required Work Hours
Monday - Friday, during the first shift.

Desired Skills and Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR Assistant or HR administrative role
- Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (UKG Ready/Pro strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of HR processes including onboarding, compliance tracking, and employee records management
- Experience reviewing and auditing timesheets for accuracy
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Dependable, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team environment
