HR Analyst (Temp, Remote-CA)
Job Summary
The HR Programs & Initiatives Business Analyst uses data analysis, discretion, and independent judgment to provide insights into strategic initiatives related to HR management planning. They evaluate HR business programs and end user data requirements and develop analytical and reporting tools to address those needs. They serve as an HR business analytics subject matter expert and support HR in utilizing analytics to promote achievement of HR program objectives. They create meaningful HR metrics and reporting that provide insights into strategic issues related to workforce planning and management.
Responsibilities
- Leverage existing tools (primarily in Workday) to meet reporting and analytics needs.
- Develop and generate reports, analytics, and dashboards.
- Develop and frame analytical findings in a clear and meaningful way.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Create custom reports, dashboards, datasets, tools, and processes needed to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of Human Resources or Administrative Support experience.
- Minimum of one year of analytics experience related to HR.
- Bachelor’s Degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail with good organization skills.
- Strong listening and communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work with various levels of management and maintain a critical level of confidentiality.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and systems; Familiarity with database concepts such as primary/foreign keys and metadata; Understanding of the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar.
- Coursework in Data Analytics for HR; Workday report writer and/or calculated fields training.
- PHR, SPHR, PHRca, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Pay
Pay Range: Minimum $74,506 Midpoint $98,717 Maximum $122,928
Schedule
Full-time, temporary position that is benefits-eligible. Expected to continue through early 2027, with the possibility of ending earlier based on business needs.
