About the role
Sycamore Services is looking for a Part-Time Human Resources Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources department in completing day-to-day HR transactions, assisting with employee on-boarding and off-boarding processes, maintaining accurate personnel records, updating databases, and preparing HR documents. Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the human resources department, managing workflows, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
- Completes and submits expense forms and purchase orders; creates and revises forms as requested.
- Maintains accurate and organized personnel records and tracking systems; updates databases and spreadsheets; ensures proactive and timely follow-up on overdue or missing items.
- Assists with new hire orientation preparation, completes employee profile set-up in Paylocity and other systems, and processes on-boarding/off-boarding tasks.
- Fosters a positive and organized on-boarding experience that introduces new employees to Sycamore’s mission, vision, values, and workplace culture.
- Identifies and communicates opportunities to streamline workflows, communication, and processes to create increased consistency and efficiency.
- Processes employee updates, change requests, and document uploads within the HRIS system.
- Delivers exceptional customer service to employees and leaders; serves as a welcoming and responsive point-of-contact for routine HR needs.
- Assists with the coordination, communication, and delivery of organizational culture-building, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Prepares educational materials, creates and forwards compliance/training communication, updates tracking systems, and enrolls participants for training programs.
- Supports the Recruitment and Retention Specialist with drafting/sending applicant communication, interview scheduling, candidate tracking, and career fair coordination.
- Maintains positive relationships with community and workforce partners; coordinates documentation, conducts timely follow-up on issues, and reports outcomes.
- Completes other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- 1-3 years’ experience within a multi-faceted, fast-paced HR department required.
- Prior experience with HRIS systems such as Paylocity, Workday, ADP, or similar platform required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications; experience servicing multiple remote locations is preferred.
