About the role
The HR Administrative Assistant provides essential clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department. This position plays a key role in maintaining organized HR operations, supporting employee engagement initiatives, and assisting with the coordination of company events.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize employee files (digital and physical) in compliance with company policies.
- Aid in onboarding by preparing new hire packets, badges, forms, and orientation materials.
- Maintain HR bulletin boards, announcements, and communication materials.
- Affiliate with planning, preparing, and executing employee engagement activities and cultural initiatives.
- Support recognition programs, holiday celebrations, appreciation events, and community involvement efforts.
- Contribute to the development of creative ideas for morale-boosting activities and celebrations.
- Affiliate with coordination of company events, including logistics, supplies, vendors, sign-in sheets, food orders, and setup/cleanup.
- Manage inventory of event materials, gifts, and promotional items.
- Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for employees seeking HR assistance.
- Help prepare HR communications, announcements, and signage.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in administrative, HR, or office support roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels and maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Consistent morning shifts and occasional evenings required.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- On-site role in a distribution/manufacturing environment.
- Position requires regular walking, occasional lifting of event supplies (up to 20 lbs), and active participation in event setup.
