Responsibilities

  • Create employee communication materials for benefit program changes and initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve general employee benefits and HRIS system issues.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement events.
  • Compile and maintain confidential records and documents.
  • Input data and assist employees with the day-to-day operation of the HRIS system; audit and review output for accuracy.
  • Conduct day-one new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Provide a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees regarding policies and procedures, employee relation concerns, and employee development needs.
  • Respond to facility issues and act as liaison between the company and vendors for related needs/projects.
  • Support recruiting efforts through processes such as sourcing, reviewing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Prepare meeting areas for training and development, including room set-up, ordering lunch, making copies, etc.
  • Schedule conferences/trainings by reserving facilities and prepare communication regarding conference/training.
  • Facilitate group compliance trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Two to four years of Human Resources experience preferred.
  • One to two years of training and development experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
  • Strong data entry and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook.

  • Demonstrated exposure to business environments.
  • Certain consistent work history with a clear background.

Work Environment

  • This role operates in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • The team structure includes roughly 100–110 employees on busy days across warehouse and office functions, with approximately 70 in the warehouse and 40 in the office.
  • The HR Admin will support multiple departments and interact with leadership across HR, operations, supply chain, and finance.
  • The role involves working three days onsite, 20-25 hours a week, specifically on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (only until 12:00 pm, as summer hours apply on Fridays).
  • Flexible scheduling is available depending on needs.
  • The position reports to the HR function with exposure to leadership, including the HR Director.
  • Systems used include Outlook, Concur, Prodigy, and basic Excel usage.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Libertyville, IL.

Pay And Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
