Houston Technology Audit & Advisory Experienced Consultant
About the role
Protiviti is looking for a Technology Audit & Advisory Experienced Consultant to join our growing team. As an Experienced Consultant, you’ll be provided excellent training and meaningful mentorship to deepen your understanding of business processes and build technical skills.
Responsibilities
You’ll conduct interviews, compile, and analyze data, and document findings. Through interaction with client and project team personnel, you’ll develop professional relationships that contribute to exceptional client service. You’ll learn time and project management and take ownership of assignments.
Requirements
- Experience with or understanding of IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
- Commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
- Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.
- Exposure to and/or interest in the latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications, etc.
- Analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML etc.).
- Experience performing documentation of findings and summarizing recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
- 1+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions a plus.
- Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar a plus.

Pay
Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule, with a range of $66,000.00 - $99,000.00. The annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities, with a bonus target opportunity of $2,000. The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity, with a range of $68,000.00 - $101,000.00.
Schedule
Protiviti practices a hybrid model, which is a combination of working in person with a purpose and working remotely. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements varies by client, project, team, and other business factors.
