About the role

The Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant position at Protiviti focuses on helping clients better manage risks associated with their use of technology, protecting and enhancing enterprise value. Key responsibilities include identifying areas of business and technology risk, opportunities to improve efficiency, and advising clients on different technology-related topics.

Responsibilities

  • Identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency
  • Facilitate the successful completion of project work plans
  • Communicate and network with client personnel and professional associates
  • Establish project scope and work plans, project staffing, prepare deliverables, and apply methodologies under Manager direction
  • Assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on technology-related topics including cybersecurity, cloud assurance, project risk advisory, technology risk management and assessment, IT general controls, AI and data governance, data privacy, technology regulations, enterprise applications, disaster recovery, systems development methodologies, and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Experience with or understanding of IT audit methodologies and developing audit deliverables
  • Knowledge of common internal control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, particularly technology implications and requirements
  • Interest in and exposure to the latest trends and developments in data and technology, including cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications, disaster recovery, systems development methodologies, and emerging technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access
  • Secondary emphasis on PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions
  • Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field)
  • 2+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry

Skills

  • Ability to identify and assess business and technology risk
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Interest in and exposure to the latest trends and developments in data and technology
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Project management and team leadership experience
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation
  • Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel

Pay

$90,000.00 - $134,000.00

Schedule

Hybrid workplace model combining in-person and remote work, with varying remote to in-person requirements based on client, project, team, and business factors.
