Housing Stability Advocate
The Housing Stability Advocate provides trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy and housing support to families enrolled across Cornerstone’s housing programs, including Rapid Rehousing (RRH), Transitional Housing (TH), and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH).

Pay Range: $19.57-$22.30 an hour Unionized Position: Yes
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit represented by AFSCME Council 5
Experience/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in domestic violence support, housing advocacy, or related field
- Knowledge of trauma, survivor dynamics, housing programs, tenant rights, and public benefits
- Strong advocacy, crisis intervention, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining professional boundaries
- Experience working with diverse communities; commitment to equity and anti-oppression practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based systems
- Bilingual/multilingual and a related bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, reliable vehicle, and ability to pass a background check

Essential Functions
- Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered case management, including housing navigation, stability planning, and connections to supportive services
- Conduct regular check-ins, home visits, and virtual meetings to assess safety, housing stability, and participant needs; respond to crises as needed
- Support participants in building skills for housing retention, including landlord communication, conflict resolution, and tenancy support
- Coordinate services across housing programs (Rapid Rehousing, Transitional, and Permanent Supportive Housing) to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate documentation, track participant progress, and ensure compliance with program and funding requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords, housing providers, and community partners to expand housing opportunities and remove barriers
- Participate in team meetings, cross-training, coordinated entry, and community partnerships to support program goals and professional growth
- Provide shelter coverage and additional program support as needed, including outreach, education, and other duties assigned
