Housing Choice Voucher Manager – Sanford, NC

Position Summary

Under the leadership of the Director of Operations, manages and supervises all aspects of the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Ensures that the department maintains Housing Choice Voucher Program subsidy allotments filled with eligible participants and ensures compliance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) federal regulations and the Agency’s approved Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan. Responsible for the Agency receiving at least a satisfactory rating concerning HUD agency scoring systems such as Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) and other future HUD-required evaluation systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Housing Choice Voucher Program subsidy allotments filled with eligible participants
• Ensures compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) federal regulations and the Agency’s approved Housing Choice Voucher Program Administrative Plan
• Guarantees the Agency receives at least a satisfactory rating concerning HUD agency scoring systems such as Section 8 Management Assessment Program (SEMAP)
• Ensures compliance with future HUD-required evaluation systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in housing administration or a related field
• Experience managing and supervising a team
• Knowledge of HUD regulations and policies
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
