Housekeeping Manager - Courtyard Tysons McLean

About the Role

B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group, a subsidiary of the largest private real estate company in the Washington, D.C. area with over 130 years of operation, is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for the Courtyard Tysons McLean. This role oversees housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness of hotel rooms and public areas, driving revenue, maximizing profit, and maintaining quality through effective staff management.

Responsibilities

• Financial Results/Cost Control: Manage housekeeping department finances, maximize profitability, control expenses, schedule labor, negotiate with vendors, prepare and manage budgets, and maintain assets.
• Guest Service: Ensure guest satisfaction through quality room cleanliness, timely response to concerns, service recovery, and implementation of service programs to increase satisfaction and revenue.
• Safety/Risk Management: Conduct inspections, maintain Material Safety Data Sheets, ensure a clean and safe work environment, and follow procedures for incidents.
• Associate Management and Development: Evaluate staff performance, motivate and develop team members, conduct hiring and training, analyze quality issues, and promote a positive work environment.
• Self/Workload Management: Attend meetings, advise on operational changes, manage housekeeping/laundry initiatives, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years of progressive housekeeping management experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bi-lingual ability preferred.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds regularly and perform significant bending.

Pay

$60,000 - $70,000 per year. Actual pay determined by qualifications, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Total compensation includes healthcare, 401(k), disability coverage, life insurance, and more.
