Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Janitorial Account Manager oversees the day-to-day janitorial operations of an assigned customer site. This includes managing a team of janitorial staff through scheduling, payroll, and training, ensuring high-quality janitorial services, and maintaining relationships with both clients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day janitorial operations of an assigned Customer Site.
• Manage a team of janitorial staff with scheduling, payroll, and training.
• Ensure the Client Site is provided with high quality janitorial services.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with both customers and employees.
• Handle any escalated issues or situations appropriately.
• Assure that employee grievances are heard and resolved.
• Manage uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles utilized at the account(s).
• Maintain appropriate inventories and meet customer/company requirements.
• Take a proactive role in communicating with Customer and meet regularly, listen to issues, provide expertise and solutions.
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction.
• Enforce Allied Universal policies as outlined in the handbooks, handouts and on the company portal.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual Spanish/English (read, write and speak)
• Two years experience in business management/operations/supervisory experience in facilities or client focused sites.
• Preferred but not required: Two years experience in janitorial/facility maintenance/housekeeping.
• Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Communications skills verbal and Written
• Management experience, specifically for a union environment.
• Ability to work a flex schedule (different on call times daily)
• Experience in the janitorial industry and/or the ability to be trained in the janitorial industry.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Flexibility is key, with different on-call times daily.
