About the role

The RN House Supervisor is a registered nurse responsible for hospital-wide leadership, overseeing clinical, operational, and safety functions in the absence of senior leaders. They coordinate resources, manage staff, and ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through effective communication, collaboration, and performance improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma. The role involves supervising department supervisors, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage hospital operations in the absence of senior leaders.
• Respond to emergencies and facilitate patient flow.
• Partner across departments to optimize capacity and safety.
• Oversee clinical, operational, and safety functions hospital-wide.
• Supervise department supervisors and mentor staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Apply performance improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, or Health Administration.
• Active RN licensure (single or multi-state).
• BLS certification.
