About the Role
The RN House Supervisor provides hospital-wide leadership, overseeing clinical, operational, financial, and resource management in the absence of key leaders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate hospital operations, ensuring safe, quality care and service excellence.
- Supervise department supervisors, charge nurses, and assist with staffing, coaching, and performance improvement using Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and effective communication among staff, physicians, patients, and families.
- Manage emergency responses, surge plans, patient flow, and hospital capacity concerns.
- Serve as a safety officer, ensuring adherence to regulatory and quality standards.
- Act as a role model and mentor, fostering teamwork and professional development.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Administration.
- RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience and 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
Skills
