Hotel Houseman/Porter

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains a Service Culture that ensures the delivery of Superior internal/external guest service by all team members.
• Removes trash from closet area and compacts it.
• Assist room attendants from removing trash and debris from rooms.
• Transports soiled linens to laundry department.
• Returns clean linens and terry to housekeeping storage on the guest floors.
• Vacuums public areas.
• Maintains pool area and fitness rooms.
• Affixes to inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Sampoos carpet and buffs tile.
• Sweeps and mops stair wells daily.
• Cleans smoking urns.
• Delivers boxes of product and supplies to housekeeping department or warehouse.
• Affixes to room attendants in cleaning rooms.
• Picks up trash and debris in public areas.
• Cleans shower and bathroom in pool areas.
• Cleans glass on windows in public areas.
• Flips mattresses quarterly.
• Ensures department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Will be able to work varied shifts – i.e. days, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Knowledge of all promotions and events.
• All other duties as assigned.
