Hotel General Manager

About the role

The Hotel General Manager (GM) leads all aspects of the hotel’s operations, ensuring financial success, guest satisfaction, and team development while upholding our mission, vision, and values. This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive, self-starting individual with 24/7 availability to ensure excellence across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including housekeeping, food & beverage, and front desk services
• Ensure compliance with IHG standards and local regulations
• Manage budgeting and financial performance
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest experience and loyalty
• Train and motivate staff to achieve departmental goals
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with other managers to maintain a cohesive team approach
• Conduct regular meetings with management team to discuss progress and address issues
• Ensure safety and security protocols are followed and maintained

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a similar role
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and handle high-pressure situations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
