Hotel General Maintenance (PT)
About the Role
Bardstown Motor Lodge is seeking a part-time Hotel General Maintenance Technician to maintain the physical environment (inside and outside) of assigned buildings, execute work orders, perform landscaping duties, service the pool, and ensure the building is clean and stocked with supplies.
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance of electrical systems (replacing light bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches).
- Maintains heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Provides preventative maintenance of HVAC systems (cleaning air handler coils, replacing filters and belts).
- Conducts general upkeep (landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, appliances, drywall, windows, etc.).
- Performs manual repairs when necessary.
- Keeps the pool clean and up to safety standards.
- Reports any unsafe conditions to Management.
- Conducts preventative maintenance throughout the property, including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Weekend availability.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Strong knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Deadline, detail, and customer service-oriented.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
