Hotel Maintenance

About the Role

The Hotel Maintenance Attendant assists with the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment as assigned. Responsibilities include participating in the preventative maintenance program, handling guest requests, and performing trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and more. May require driving a shuttle van when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, swimming pools, and hot tubs.
• Perform plumbing repairs, laundry equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems.
• Monitor energy conservation and repair vacuum cleaners or other small equipment upon request.
• Immediately follow up on alarms to determine location and cause, assess emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
• Perform other tasks or jobs as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR).
