Host - McFadden's Sports Saloon

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and take messages/reservations.
• Maintain an accurate wait list when necessary.
• Welcome guests upon arrival and bid them goodbye, creating a lasting positive experience.
• Greet guests in a friendly, upbeat manner and smile to ensure satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with all guests.
• Report problems to management immediately.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service.
• Occasionally buss tables to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests.
• Anticipate the needs of scheduled special parties.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in customer service and/or hosting.
• Fluent English; additional languages preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, employees, and third parties.
• Proficiency in reading and writing, especially for recording and reviewing reservations and table‑assignment systems.
• Ability to read, review, and understand seating charts.
• Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
• Attention to detail.
• Physical ability to carry or lift items up to 50 pounds, handle food and utensils, operate phones, and stand, bend, stoop, kneel, or remain in one location for extended periods.
• Capability to move safely and efficiently throughout the entire facility.
