About the Role
The Host/ess is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team, working in the restaurant to support seamless service and an elevated guest experience. This position is key to upholding service standards, enhancing the flow of operations, and contributing to the overall success of the dining experience. As the first and last impression of the restaurant, the Host/ess is responsible for greeting guests and seating them promptly, delivering exceptional service from start to finish. This position works closely with team members to ensure that guest needs are met efficiently and with genuine hospitality. The restaurant embodies all Four Seasons cultural standards while operating under the "Ramsay Standard," with an emphasis on professionalism and excellence expected in any high-level restaurant or hospitality environment. This role reports to the Restaurant General Manager and is overseen by the Director of Food & Beverage.
What You Will Do
- Customer Service: Maintaining a welcoming, professional, and positive environment for every guest
- Comprehension: Having a basic knowledge of the food and beverage menu items
- Organization: Utilizing Open Table and the daily reservation book to seat guests while balancing servers' maximum workload capacity
- Communication/Teamwork: Collaborating with team members to ensure guests are always taken care of
What You Bring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure guests have the best experience possible
- Capability to remain in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day
- Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is required
- Experience in a similar role with a luxury or upscale restaurant is a plus
Schedule & Hours
- This is a part-time position
- The working hours will vary and may include mornings, days, afternoons, and evenings on weekdays and weekends
