Host an International High School Exchange Student (Tupelo, MS)

ERDT/SHARE! is a global non-profit educational foundation established in 1974. It provides international student exchange services to host families and international teens. SHARE! students, aged 15-18 from countries such as France, Germany, Spain, China, Brazil, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea, are looking for host families or adults to join their exchange program.

Responsibilities

• Attend your local high school with the exchange student
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student
• Help the exchange student adjust to life in the new country
• Ensure the exchange student has access to medical care and insurance
• Support the exchange student financially for personal expenses

Requirements

• Must be a legal resident of the United States
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a stable home and address
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Must be willing to provide a safe and welcoming environment for the exchange student

Qualifications

• Willingness to open your home and heart to a young person from another culture
• Ability to provide a safe and supportive environment for the exchange student
• Interest in learning about and experiencing different cultures
• Availability to host the exchange student for a full school year or semester
