About the role
SHARE! Your Heart & Home with a high school exchange student. Host families and adults are needed to host exchange students for a school year or semester.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and welcoming home environment for an international student.
- Attend the student's local high school classes.
- Help the student adjust to life in a new country and culture.
- Ensure the student has access to medical care if needed.
- Manage the student's personal expenses, including spending money.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Willingness to provide a safe and welcoming home environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Availability to host the student for a full school year or semester.
Qualifications
- Experience living and working internationally is a plus.
- Open-mindedness and cultural sensitivity are essential.
- Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally.
